BRINGING VOICES OF HOPE

Dear Friends,

I wanted to share something that's very close to my heart.

After years of walking alongside survivors and advocating for change, I'm launching a new podcast called The Cherished Lounge—a place where honest conversations spark hope, healing, and meaningful change.

Each episode features survivors, leaders, clinicians, advocates, policy and change makers exploring topics such as trauma, resilience, justice, exploitation, recovery, and the human story. My hope is that these conversations will educate, inspire, and help create a deeper understanding of both the impact of trauma and the possibility of healing.

As we prepare for our launch, I'm inviting mission-aligned businesses, organizations, and individuals to partner with us. There are two meaningful ways you can support this work:

  • Become a podcast sponsor and share your business or organization with our growing audience through podcast advertising.
  • Make a charitable donation to help us continue producing these conversations and expanding their reach. As Cherished is a nonprofit organization, eligible charitable donations may be tax-deductible. In addition, a portion of the proceeds generated through podcast sponsorships directly supports Cherished's work with survivors as they rebuild their lives and exit exploitation.

Our guest lineup reflects the heart of The Cherished Lounge—bringing together courageous voices and thought leaders who challenge us to think more deeply about trauma, justice, healing, and the world we live in. Guests include Kelly Dore, a senior congressional advisor who has served under the last four presidential administrations and was instrumental in coordinating the public release and display of the Epstein files. We'll also hear firsthand from survivors of one of the largest sex trafficking and pornography operations in recent history, as well as survivors connected to the Jeffrey Epstein case. Alongside policymakers, clinicians, authors, advocates, and survivor leaders, these conversations will explore not only exploitation and recovery but also the cultural beliefs, systems, and values that shape our society. Our goal is to move beyond headlines and invite listeners into thoughtful conversations that inspire awareness, compassion, and meaningful change.

CherishedLA is here for women who find themselves caught in the world of exploitation. Whether surviving human trafficking or some facet of the commercial sex industry, we are here to honor your story and walk with you on your healing path. CherishedLA is founded by a survivor of the sex industry who knows what effect the trauma of a life of exploitation causes! Kate is specifically trained in NFTC (Narrative Focused Trauma Care) and understands the deep work that needs to be done to heal, and she brings that to the women who come to CherishedLA. Our staff members are trained in trauma care, knowing you can only take people as far as you can go yourself.
